Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 June 2026
spellr (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have when you use our website and services.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers visitors to our website (including the early-bird waitlist), prospective customers, and people who use the spellr email automation service once onboarded.
2. Information we collect
Waitlist and marketing. When you submit your email on our landing page, we store your email address, which form you used (hero or bottom CTA), and any marketing channel indicated in the URL (for example utm_source). We use this to contact you about early access and onboarding.
spellr service (when you become a customer). If you connect Gmail or Microsoft Outlook, we access only the inbox data needed to run your rules — through official OAuth sign-in; we never see or store your email password. Email content is processed to extract the fields your rules define. We do not keep full email bodies after processing; we store the structured data your automations produce (for example extracted prices, quotes, or applicant details).
Technical data. Like most websites, we may collect basic usage and device information (browser type, pages visited, approximate location from IP) to keep the site secure and improve performance.
3. How we use your information
- To operate the waitlist and contact you about spellr early access
- To provide, maintain, and improve the spellr service
- To run the email automations you configure in plain English
- To send service-related notices, support, and security alerts
- To understand which marketing channels bring visitors to our site
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Email and inbox data
spellr reads inbound email only to execute rules you define. Draft replies are placed in your Drafts folder — spellr does not send email on your behalf without you reviewing and sending yourself. You can disconnect your inbox and request deletion of your account data at any time.
5. How we store and protect data
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is limited to systems and people who need it to operate the service. We use reputable infrastructure providers with industry-standard security practices.
6. How long we keep data
Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or they are no longer needed for onboarding. Service data is retained while your account is active and deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after you cancel, unless we must keep it for legal reasons.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. EU/UK users have rights under GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Third-party services
We use trusted third parties to host our site, store waitlist data, connect calendars for onboarding calls, and (when you use spellr) connect to Google and Microsoft email APIs. These providers process data only on our instructions and under appropriate agreements.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Children
spellr is a business service and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email where appropriate.
